Adam Wharton His first start in an England shirt. A bit sloppy in possession however his inswinging deliveries posed a danger. A useful game manager for the boss to utilize against defensive opponents. Cautioned after a reckless foul. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries on corner kicks and set-plays were dangerous. Was given license to roam on the left but was in an offside position when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Granted a deserved substitution on the hour mark. 6

The star midfielder Played in a high spot on the right while also did plenty of defensive duties. Displayed flashes of quality and dragged a shot over. Replaced towards the end for Rogers, his competition, after receiving a caution. 7/10

The winger Was presented with England’s clearest opportunity in the opening period, his shot excellently kept out from the Albanian keeper. With Quansah hanging back, it fell to him to offer an outlet out wide but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. Six

The captain The difference-maker with his two more finishes in an England shirt. The opener a trademark close-range tap-in while the second a superb finish with his head after peeling away off his defender. At 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament with him leading the line. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to influence play out wide. Had a decent opportunity following a pass by Bellingham but the keeper kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger an impact when substituted. 5/10
