I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
