Esteemed Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at Age 60.
Stateside actor Pat Finn, who featured in iconic programs like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died aged 60.
The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in LA recently following treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, per reports.
"He never met a stranger - only friends he didn't know yet," his family stated in a announcement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
A Notable Career on Screen
His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He also had a regular part on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, playing a party host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
During the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on several hit series, such as:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
He was most recognized for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.
His work in movies are It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored countless students during his career and it's nearly impossible to find someone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.
Paying homage, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he shared online.
